I had a pair of MBT's for three years before they starting showing any wear. I bought a new paid in December, 2008, and didn't wear them walking until about February or March 2009. They are already wearing out, cracking in the soles, the EVA I believe it's called. I really like the shoes because I have a bad ankle, but I cannot recommend this shoe to anyone now that they have changed their product. I bought mine at Foot Solutions in KC, MO, and they have quit carrying the MBT's for this very problem. I wrote the corporate headquarters and I'm waiting to hear from them.

I wear them everyday to work and they have helped with my back pain. They are expensive shoes but I feel that they're worth it. I wrote a full review on MBT shoes here http://hubpages.com/hub/MBT-Shoes-Good-For-Back-Pain-but-Dont-Expect-to-Lose-Weight

Shin irritation

Anyone else getting an irritation on the shin when wearing MBT shoes, especially with stiffer leather? I am only getting this on my right foot. I have tried folding back the tongue and holding it overnight with a strong clip used for glueing heavy objects. Works somewhat. Also tying the shoe string under the tongue at the last hole. Just bought the boot and these seem to avoid the problem.

If anyone out there has back pain and has tried all other options then I
recommend a guy called Alexander Barrie who does a treatment called
pelvic correction. After trying everyone he was the only person who got
me out of pain and showed me exercises to keep me out of pain. It takes
a quite a few visits and he is not cheap but worth it in the long run.

Alexander is based in Harrow middlesex tel number 0208 423 5659

I'm seriously considering buying a pair of MBTs. I have a history of severe back pain,(s/p 3 surgeries). However, in reading of some posters having had pain and even foot surgery,I'm concerned. The fact that there seems to be issues with inferior materials doesn't help.
I'd very much appreciate if I could get some feedback that could help in my decision-either way.
Cheers, and a healthy and happy New Year to all!

Trading Standards Office UK

Has anyone been to Trading Standards Office in UK with MBT shoes and sandals? I am a UK resident but not there at the moment but as soon as I get back I am going to go to my local office. I have forgotten the exact wording of the law but will find it out - something to do with not being suitable for the use they were sold for. Been in touch with the shop I bought them from and MBT and neither are in the least bit interested.

Hi, I am 24 and really interested in buying myself a pair of mbt's but the thing that stops me is that I haven't yet seen a guy wearing a pair but I see loads of women in London wearing them.
Also the pair I like the most is chapa water which isn't yet available in the UK so I'll have to be patient!
Any youngish guy's out there wearing them???

DVD not included??

Hi there,

I live in Germany and I just bought a pair of MBTs. They are just great. My question is this: the seller I got them from said that the instructional DVD we all know about does not come included in the package anymore since December 2009, an that it has to be purchased separately. Has anyone heard of this? Anyone bought a pair after last December? Was the DVD included?
This sounds really suspicious to me.
Thanks a lot and greetings from Berlin.

my walking has improved a lot lately and I no longer use any kind of walking sticks, yippee! to help demonstrate the difference these shoes make to my ability to walk smoothly, a movie making buddy of mine has helped put this short video together showing the difference in my walking in conventional shoes and then with my MBT sandals. Feel free to watch it.

Where to buy?

I've been thinking about bying MBT's. The prices here in Europe are varying a lot depending on where you buy the shoes. You can get them for less than 100 euros on internet, but have to pay about 200 euros if you go to a store! The stores seem to have the added benefit of a user course, but is this necessary? Does it make sense to buy on the internet and learn yourself?

Old Styles versus New Styles - Same Technology
Posted by Philster

Are the old styles using the same sole as the new styles? I was in the store today and the seller mentioned that the newer styles were better overall - "improved technology"

Was this just a selling tactic? I don't mind some of the older styles if they will save me some $$.
