MBT shoes made in China or Vietnam?

I just bought 2 pair of MBT shoes for me and my husband in a Footwear etc store. I
found that one pair from China and one pair from Vietnam. I went back to the store
and fond there are not any MBT shoes shown on the store are from Korea. According
to an interview of Fox Business New , Klaus Heidegger explained that the reason the
price of shoes is so high is because they are made in Korea. However, I went to one of
the biggest and official distribution, only got shoes from China and Vietnam. It made
me wonder weather I got the fake MBT or I got a poor quality ones and I overpaid
them? I did not choose buy MBT from the amazon in a cheaper prices because I have
the quality concern, therefore I went to the store which I think I can trust. But now it
really confused me. Can someone assure me that the shoes I bought are fine?

The news is starting to get out in the shoe press, albeit slowly. Some
of us working for shoe stores selling MBTs already got the word
through the grapevine:

Even while some instances of the shoes had quality issues, they are
still the real deal. I will hate to see them go!

quality MBT or RYN in UK?

I can't find any RYN stockist in the UK..

I have heard bad things about MBT quality. It's a long time since their good quality originals.
If it's just the sole that wears, I could get it redone by a good repairer if I knew of one, but I don't. One person mentioned they had a repair but the sole didn't last as long as the original.

Where can I try on quality MBT or RYN in the UK? (pref london)

Why are MBT's so expensive?

Can anyone tell me why MBT's are so expensive? Is it something about the materials that are used or the manufacturing process? Or is it just the design you are paying for? I haven't seen any attempt to justify the high price, so I assume people are paying for and persuaded by the design and its benefits.

I have found that my socks keep riding down in my MBT shoes and not sure why as I have never had that problem before with any shoes whether they be regular or sports. I have enquired at the shop where I purchased them from but was told that they have never heard of that sort of problem before. Has anybody had a problem like that. It is very annoying.

I have been wearing my MBT SANDALS for 3yrs, I have loved them for work and day time wear. Over the last 7 months I have been experiencing pain in my left knee and right knee, I have psoriactic Arthritic, I am taking Humira and I thought that was causing a problem, but after a Doctor check up, he said no the arthritis was doing very well. It was my knee wearing and I have had an xray taken, he told me to stop wearing my MBT, he asked how long and how often I wear them and I let him know the answer is regularly because I have enjoyed them so much. He said they could be causing my problem. I am very sad and disappointed.

I also ordered some MBT trainers from a American website which have fallen apart. I Had no idea these sites existed its unfair and they should be stopped. I had previously owned a pair that were exellent and lasted for six years, i feel very cheated and extremly let down.

common sense and MBTs

Come on folks do you ever read the instructions - like most new 'toys'
you must follow the guidelines to get the best out of anything - MBTs
should be fitted properly in person not bought on line, guidance given
by the trained seller in how best to break them and yourself in (a
couple of hours use daily for the first few weeks and then not all the
time afterwards) I have been wearing them since they first arrived and
they do the job - buy on line, ignore the training and the fitting then
you are asking for trouble and resorting to lawsuits may gain you money
but not common sense

Where are the best manufactured MBT Shoes?

Korea, China, Vietnam? I realize that the quality is subpar nowadays
and it seems like a majority of the MBT line is currently manufactured
in China. It looks like some of the all leather business shoes are
made in Vietnam. I tried on the all leather Vietnamese ones and they
fit and felt much better than the Chinese made Sport model. I ended up
going on ebay and buying a like new pair of Sports 04 that were
manufactured in Korea. They fit and feel like the Vietnamese made
leather shoes. So is the current poor quality to be blamed on Chinese

Unfortunately this seems to be a current trend in anything imported
from China into the USA.

MBTs poor quality/service

I've had a pair of MBTs for a few months now. They are beginning to rot and collapse already near the soles.

I contacted MBT who were very unhelpful - apparantly they can't be worn in mud as they will rot. But they don't go to the trouble of letting their customers know. And they only give 6mths cover.

At £170 a go I expected better quality - and cetainly better customer service.

Don't buy.

anyone know if these shoes will help my aching feet or are they just
meant to help with back and leg problems?

Toe Box for EEEE width

I wear a US 10.5 EEEE width. I tried a MBT shoes before and they were tight. Today I bought one and it fits perfectly. The sales lady explained this MBT Sports 2 has this wider toe box.

My question: is there any other style, like Tembea, that has a wider toe box? I would like to have another pair that is more business casual.
